Tear plate made of stainless steel 1.4301 – cold rolled – Trimandor version – is a corrosion-resistant steel with at least 10.5% chromium and approx. 8% nickel, solution-annealed, austenitic structure, non-magnetic, providing good toughness and resistance to brittle fracture. Tear plate is a rolled sheet with regular raised patterns for slip-resistant, self-supporting covering sheets such as stairs, walkways, and manhole covers, with a smooth underside. Material 1.4301 (X5CrNi18-10, V2A) is the most common austenitic stainless steel, corrosion-resistant and resistant to intergranular corrosion in delivery condition; corrosion resistance in welded state depends on welding method for thicker products. Cold rolling provides tighter tolerances and smoother surfaces than hot rolling. The Trimandor version offers a non-slip surface with tear pattern.
