Material 1.4122 (X39CrMo17-1) is a martensitic stainless steel alloyed with molybdenum, offering enhanced corrosion resistance to chloride-containing environments. It features high tensile strength, excellent wear resistance, magnetic properties, and is hardenable. Typical applications include pump and valve parts, mechanical components, knives, and bearings. The round bar has a circular cross-section, designated by diameter, e.g. Ø 20 mm. Due to its martensitic structure, the material is not weldable. Its combination of hardness and corrosion resistance makes it suitable for demanding applications in machinery and plant engineering.
