Equal-leg angle made of hot rolled stainless steel 1.4404 (X2CrNiMo17-12-2) – an acid-resistant austenitic CrNiMo steel with low carbon content. Belonging to the V4A group, it is resistant to intergranular corrosion even in sensitized condition and offers improved corrosion resistance compared to 1.4301. Non-magnetic in solution-annealed condition, excellent cold formability and weldability (except gas welding). Commonly used in plant engineering, chemical processing, and marine applications.
