Thermanit 17/15 TT is an austenitic filler metal by Böhler Welding, developed for welding high-temperature-resistant Cr-Ni steels. The alloy features a balanced content of approximately 17% chromium and 15% nickel and is titanium stabilized, ensuring excellent resistance to oxidation, intergranular corrosion, and carbide precipitation during welding and high-temperature service. Typical applications include power plants, petrochemical facilities, industrial furnaces, and other thermally stressed systems up to about 800 °C.
