Thermanit H 347 Si wire electrodes are high-quality welding consumables that were specifically developed for welding austenitic stainless steel types, especially 18/8 steels. These electrodes contain an alloy with high chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) content and stabilization with niobium (Nb) and additional silicon (Si), giving them outstanding mechanical properties and excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. Niobium stabilization improves resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially at high temperatures. The increased silicon content provides additional protection against oxidation and improves weldability. They offer excellent corrosion resistance and good welding properties with stable and clean weld seams, good flowability of the weld pool and minimal spatter formation.
