Thermanit H 347 wire electrodes are special welding consumables developed for welding austenitic stainless steel types, especially type 18/8 steels. These electrodes contain an alloy with high chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) content and stabilization by niobium (Nb), which gives them excellent mechanical properties and excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. Stabilization by niobium increases resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially at high temperatures. They offer excellent corrosion resistance and good welding properties with stable and clean weld seams, good flowability of the weld pool, and minimal spatter formation. Thermanit H 347 wire electrodes are particularly suitable for applications in the chemical industry, power plant construction, and other areas exposed to high temperatures and corrosive conditions.
