The high-alloy wire electrodes Thermanit GE 316 L Si are specially developed for welding austenitic stainless steel types with increased silicon content. They feature a tensile strength of 380 MPa, elongation of 35%, and impact energy of 70 J. Corresponding to material number 1.4430, these electrodes hold approvals from TÜV, DB, LR, CWB, GL, and DNV. They are rust-proof and intergranular corrosion resistant, and provide additional bridging for particularly large gaps during welding.
