Union I 52 TIG welding rods are designed for welding unalloyed and low-alloy steels in boiler, container, apparatus and pipeline construction. The weld metal analysis is C 0.08 %, Si 0.85 % and Mn 1.50 % and the rods provide mechanical quality values of 440 MPa yield strength, 560 MPa tensile strength, 25 % elongation and 130 J impact energy. These rods provide additional bridging for particularly large gaps during welding. Standards include EN ISO 636-A (W 42 5 3Si1) and AWS A5.18 (ER70S-6).
