Cold drawn round bars made of 1.0579 (S355D+SH, S355J2C+SH) are unalloyed quality steels with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and a peeled surface finish according to EN 10277. These steels provide good machinability and dimensional accuracy and are suitable for medium to high strength applications. Typical uses include mechanical engineering, structural components and automotive parts. The +SH condition stands for peeled bars with a precise surface quality – ideal for exact fits. The material is weldable but not corrosion-resistant. Changes and errors excepted.
