Cold drawn round bars made of grade 1.0579 (S355D+C, S355J2C+C) are unalloyed quality steels with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa. They offer high dimensional accuracy, smooth surface finish, good machinability and excellent weldability. These bars are well suited for structural components in mechanical engineering, vehicle construction and general metalworking applications where increased strength is required. The condition C+C (cold drawn + machinable) ensures tight tolerances and consistent quality. The material can be drilled, turned, milled and welded, but is not suitable for corrosive environments without additional surface protection. Changes and errors excepted.
