Stainless steel round bar 1.4404 made of material EN 10278 with diameter 3 - 25 mm is a long product with circular cross-section. Stainless steel comprises rust, acid, and heat resistant steels with at least 10.5 % chromium and minimum 8 % nickel, mostly austenitic and non-magnetic in solution-annealed condition. Material 1.4404 (X2CrNiMo17-12-2) is an austenitic, acid-resistant CrNiMo steel of the V4A group with low carbon content (LC), resistant to intergranular corrosion even in sensitized state and has better corrosion resistance than 1.4301. Manufactured by drawing to reduce cross-section, improve surface and dimensional tolerances. Typical uses include corrosive environments and demanding technical applications.
