Information & Downloads

Stainless steel is the generic term for corrosion-resistant steels containing at least 10.5% chromium. Most grades have an austenitic microstructure with at least 8% nickel and are generally non-magnetic in the solution-annealed condition. They offer good toughness and resistance to brittle fracture even at low temperatures. Most stainless steels can be welded by all common methods except gas welding. A round bar is a steel bar profile with a circular cross-section, designated by its diameter, e.g. Ø 20 mm. The material 1.4122 (X39CrMo17-1) is a martensitic chrome steel combining good corrosion resistance with mechanical strength. It is not weldable and is used in applications requiring high strength and resistance.
