Sheet made of aluminum alloy EN AW-5083 (AlMg4,5Mn0,7) – hot rolled – is a non-heat-treatable alloy with high magnesium and manganese content, known for outstanding corrosion resistance in marine and industrial atmospheres. It features medium to high strength, excellent weldability (MIG, TIG) and good formability. Typical applications include shipbuilding, offshore structures, pressure vessels, trailers, and general mechanical engineering. Strength can be increased by cold working.
