Copper sheet CW008A
Thickness: 0.3 - 0.3 mm, width: 1000 - 1000 mm
A sheet is a flat product with a rectangular cross-section whose width (min. 600 mm) is much greater than its thickness. The surface is generally technically smooth and even. Three sheet formats have become established in the trade, namely the small (1000 x 2000 mm), medium (1250 x 2500 mm) and large format (1500 x 3000 mm). In addition to these standard formats, special formats with other dimensions, such as 2000 x 4000 mm or 2000 x 6000 mm, are also available on request.
Copper
With a specific weight of 8.92 g/cm³, copper is a heavy metal. It is considered to be the longest used metal in human history. Due to its excellent electrical conductivity, copper is still a widely used material today. For this reason, copper is often used in the electrical and electronics industry. In addition, copper has good general corrosion resistance and is also used in the sanitary sector, e.g. as a pipe.
Material CW008A
The copper material CW008A, also known as Cu-OF, is a high-purity, non-deoxidized and oxygen-free copper. This copper has a high conductivity for heat and electricity. In addition to very good formability, this material also has good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere and is also easy to weld. The designation Cu-OF is the chemical symbol of the copper material CW008A.
Method of production and surface treatment
In the case of aluminum and copper, the term semi-hard refers to the degree of work hardening. The material has been work-hardened to half of the maximum possible work-hardening level.
R240 means that the minimum tensile strength is 240 MPa and describes the work hardening state for copper materials.

When ordering individual sheets with a thickness of up to and including 15 mm, we cannot guarantee flatness and surface finish. This applies in particular to sheet products over three meters in length. We ask for your understanding.
