Aluminum warted sheet EN AW-3003

Thickness 2 here corresponds to the thickness in the area of the raised, rolled-in pattern. It is the sum of nominal thickness and pattern height.

Warted sheets are flat products that have regular raised patterns (teardrops or ripples) on one side and are generally smooth on the other. The patterning increases slip resistance and slip resistance.

Aluminum

Aluminum is a light metal with a specific gravity of 2.7 g/cm³. In addition to its low specific weight, aluminum is characterized by generally good corrosion resistance and favorable strength properties. This is why the material is used in aviation, for example. Furthermore, aluminum can be subjected to various surface finishes, which is why it is often used for decorative elements. It should be noted that not all aluminum is the same and there are many different alloys with different properties.

Material EN AW-3003

EN AW-3003 is a naturally hard aluminum with low strength. This material is widely used in the architectural and construction industries because EN AW-3003 has good weldability and cold formability. In addition, the material shows good corrosion resistance to seawater and atmospheric corrosion. The chemical symbol for EN AW-3003 aluminum alloy is AlMn1Cu.

Standardization: EN 573/1386

EN 573: Aluminum and aluminum alloys - Chemical composition and form of semi-finished products. EN 1386: Aluminum and aluminum alloys - Sheet with rolled-in patterns - Specification

Note

When ordering single sheets with thickness up to and including 15 mm, we cannot guarantee flatness and surface finish. This applies in particular to sheet products with a length exceeding three meters. We ask for your understanding.
